Kristie Kahns Photography
Kristie's camera has never let her stray far from her original passion of dance, allowing her to become a part of the dance community through a different medium. Her own formal dance training makes each shoot a collaborative effort to choreograph for the camera, merging the languages of dance and photography.
Footprints Tap Ensemble
Footprints Tap Ensemble of Talent Forum began with just three dancers in 1995, with the vision to carry on the tradition and legacy of tap dance and to provide an opportunity for young dancers to achieve something great in the dance world. Today Footprints is a not-for-profit 501c(3) production and performance company (and apprentice company) of Chicago-area youth who actively choreograph, teach, perform and participate in all aspects of dance show production. The ensemble is directed by the dancers themselves, whose ages range from 10 to 18.

The Joel Hall Dance Center is celebrating 30 years of delivering artistic excellence to broad based and under served audiences. Instruments of Movement
Instruments of Movement was founded in January of 2001 as a conduit for me and a diverse group of dancers to explore our individual voices. Having worked in the Chicago dance community for four years following graduation from northeastern Illinois University, I was beginning to feel the need to express my own vision. Coming from an urban background, I yearned to see the classical vocabulary prevalent in concert dance integrated into the hip-hop culture with which I was surrounded. Instruments of Movement became a fusion of classical, contemporary, and urban dance styles.
Josh Hawkins Photography
At this point in my life my camera has become a means and excuse to explore the world and hopefully show the world just how strange and neat it really is. There are many interesting people in this world to meet, experiences to explore and places to see. My camera helps me explore those new situations and meet those new people, and hopefully bring them to the people who see my work.
I also do a fair amount of event, publication relations and advertising work to help pay the bills. If you are interested in hiring me for an event, please contact me to discuss availability.
